This separates it from RG213U which has a bare copper conductor. The material is what makes this cable different from similar cables. The silver coating gives it a better conduction ability. Another important feature of RG214U is that it offers a double-coated braid shield rather than the standard single braid. Selecting the correct coaxial cable is not always an easy choice.
