18 AWG 2 Conductor Shielded Multi Conductor Cable

Also Known As:

Multi conductor Cable, PVC jacket Cable, PVC insulation Cable, Shielded Cable, stranded tinned copper, Grey jacket

About:

Shielded multi conductor 18 AWG cables are used for a wide range of purposes. Commonly, you'll find them in things like consumer electronics and industrial control equipment. They are even used in advanced signal transmissions in controlled environments. What does all that mean Well, it basically means that multi conductor cables are used for controlling equipment. By using shielded multi conductor 18 AWG cable you have the option of selecting between 2 to 15 conductors. Why use shielded multi conductor cables In many industrial facilities, there is a lot going on. What I mean by that is there are many pieces of equipment with a lot of wires in them running through a given facility. This can create EMI (electromagnetic interference) also named RFI (radio frequency interference). EMI/RFI can greatly reduce the performance of a circuit. In some cases, it can even stop the circuit from functioning at all. This is why you would want to utilize shielded multi conductor 18 AWG cable. The shielding in these cables works in two ways. For starters, the shield has the ability to reflect a lot of the energy. This helps to prevent the energy from interrupting the circuit. Next, the shielding will conduct some of that energy to the ground. Together, these actions make sure that the EMI/RFI does not reach the conductors. These cables are designed to meet the requirements for UL, CSA, and NEC. Temperatures and voltages are not always the exact same from cable to cable.
