Sales Taxes in the United States
In the United States, sales taxes are placed on the sale of goods and services individually by each state. Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon are the only states that do not have a state sales tax standard and do not expect you to pay sales tax. If you are not ordering to these states when you buy the products from Nassau National Cable, you are considered an end-user and are expected to pay a sales tax. The sales tax amount depends on local standards issued in the state where your shipping address is located. Sales taxes can be sufficient (up to 10% percent in some states), but luckily, there is a way to receive tax exemption and get relief from a sales tax when shopping with Nassau National Cable if you qualify.
Do I Qualify For Tax Exemption?
We can accept tax exemptions for the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI. If your shipping address is in any of these 30 states, you may provide us with a sales tax exemption certificate that enables you to make tax-free purchases. This allows us to sell you goods without charging you a sales tax. Once we receive a certificate, we will form a new invoice for you that excludes the sales tax or reduces it, depending on the law of your particular state. You may also qualify for a tax exemption if you are a reseller.
