This makes removing a piece of equipment or completing field service maintenance a breeze. The insulation color indicates the wire gauge the terminal should be used on. Red insulation is for 22-18 AWG. Blue insulation is for 16-14 AWG. Yellow insulation is for 12-10 AWG. Selecting the correct heat shrink fully insulated disconnect terminal isn't an easy task.
