Description

The Super CPT tool is a coax cable stripper specifically designed to remove the cable jacket, cut the braid and dielectric, and expose the center conductor on large and small-diameter braided cables, all in one smooth operation. With an insertion port feature, the Super CPT also assists the process of inserting a cable into a connector before compression or crimping. 

Features

• Connector Insertion Sockets: The new connector insertion feature of the Super CPT provides all the leverage needed to push the connector onto the cable, eliminating the need for a separate insertion tool. Insertion is a speedy, one-step operation and doesn’t require threading and unthreading of the connector. Simply slip the connector into the appropriate socket (6/59 or 7/11) and push the cable into the connector. Sockets support all RG-6,-59,-7, and-11 connectors.

• A Wide, Durable Body: The wide jaws easily accommodate the bulk of large-diameter cables. Made of durable plastic, the lightweight SCPT tool offers consistent, precision performance even under harsh conditions.

• Two Cartridge Slots: The SCPT body is comfortable to hold and easy to operate with either hand. Because jacket, braid, and dielectric are cut with one simple motion, cables can be prepared quickly and easily.

• Factory Calibration: Pre-calibrated dimensions for different applications help to ensure that jackets are stripped and braid and dielectric are cut back properly.

• Quick-release Mechanism: A quick-release mechanism makes changing a cartridge in either slot a quick, easy, and safe operation.

• Hardened Tool-Steel Blades: Made of the highest quality steel, SCPT blades ensure optimum performance over a long life. Each cartridge can prepare 2,500–5,000 cables, depending on braid coverage.

• Patented Clean-out Feature: The patented cleanout feature of the Super CPT tool automatically removes excess jacket, braid, and dielectric from the tool after stripping.

• RBC Composite Color-coded Replaceable Cartridges: Color-coding of the replaceable cartridges makes it easy to identify the right cartridge for the application. The cartridges snap easily into place.

Applications

The Super CPT cable stripping tool, strips the jacket and cuts back the braid and dielectric to the proper dimensions on braided and braid-replacement drop cables, including standard (single) through quad shielded RG-6, -59, -7, and -11 cables. Super CPT cartridges are also available for CommScope 59 Quad-series Headend and Times Fiber TXFF cables. The tool facilitates working on multiple cable types because it holds two cartridges, eliminating the need for frequent cartridge changes. With the new insertion feature, the Super CPT also assists the process of inserting a cable into a connector before compression or crimping.
