Shipboard Cable FXW-3 16 AWG 4 Conductor Lightweight Mica Glass 600V

Applications:

Type FXW is an unarmored electrical cable with four conductors suitable for watertight, non-flexing power, and control applications. Do not use if circuit parameters call for another specific type of electrical cable. During the fire, the circuit will be kept functional for one hour, following the international standard. The cable is rated 600 V. The maximum recommended temperature is 150 C.

Construction:

Conductor: 

A stranded copper conductor. Four conductors are connected with an overall I binder tape.

Insulation:

Composite tape wrapped insulation includes a mica-glass polyimide tape (Kapton®) and polyimide-FEP tape with polyimide coating.

Jacket:

A cross-linked polyolefin low-smoke zero-halogen jacket with a surface marking. It has excellent fire and UV resistance. The jacket has excellent ecological properties and is generally non-toxic in the event of a fire.
