The PRX-1 is a 125KHz proximity reader designed for mounting directly on metal doors or window frames (mullions), making it ideal for access control applications requiring an access credential It transmits data in a 26-Bit Wiegand format, ensuring compatibility with Viking’s Wiegand-equipped entry controllers, and offers non-contact read ranges of up to 6 inches while operating on 5 to 14 VDC Equipped with Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP) for outdoor use, the PRX-1 features adjustable mounting slots, concealed hardware, and includes both Black and Ash (Off-White) covers for versatile installations.
