The CL1314MDE Multi-Drop Ethernet Extender, when paired with any CL1314 Extender, simplifies Ethernet extension. The MDE series allows users to transition from outdated serial communications to cost-effective Ethernet (IP) with ease and affordability. With plug-and-play installation, the CL1314MDE utilizes existing copper twisted-pair infrastructure to connect Ethernet devices and networks over long distances at moderate speeds. In addition to enabling multi-drop functionality, the MDE Extender also acts as a repeater, doubling the maximum distance with each hop.
