Construction

Conductors:

This fire alarm cable conductor is made of fully annealed solid bare copper (per ASTM B3). Copper is used for this application because of its amazing electrical properties and flexibility.

Insulation:

The fire alarm wire has polypropylene insulation. It is durable and resistant to chemicals and UV light deformations, but it has poor flexibility.

Jacket:

The smoke alarm wiring has a PVC jacket. It is resistant to extreme temperatures, chemicals and UV light deformations. It is also water-tight and easy to cut.
