Description:

To fish a wall using the MRS-36 Magne Triever, start by drilling a hole in the wall or top plate and dropping the eye loop end of the ball chain down the wall cavity, allowing it to collect at the bottom. Identify your wall fish location and carefully remove the baseboard, scoring along the wall with a knife to prevent paint damage or breakage. Drill a hole at the retrieval point, then insert the MRS-36 Magne Triever, shaping it into a “Z” or “S” to maneuver back and forth until the magnet connects with the ball chain. Once located, gently guide the chain toward the hole—it may not come completely through—then use the expandable retriever hook to pull it out. Attach a pull string to the ball chain’s eyelet and connect the other end to the wire you need to fish through the wall. Using a pull string helps prevent the ball chain from breaking when pulling the cable through tight or rough sections inside the wall cavity.
