Applications:

Type TX Overall Shielded Thermocouple Extension electrical Cable is used when protection from electrostatic interference is required. The electrical wire can be installed indoors or outdoors, aerially, in conduits, ducts, and cable trays.

Construction:

Conductor:

The conductor is made of annealed, solid thermocouple extension grade alloy. The cable is individually shielded with aluminum-polymer tape providing 100% coverage with a flexible 7-strand tinned copper drain wire. The cable is also equipped with a bare copper orange PVC-insulated communication wire.

Insulation:

The insulation is available in flame-retardant ethylene-propylene rubber (FR-EP) and flame-retardant cross-linked polyethylene.

Jacket:

Sunlight-resistant chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) with a ripcord is applied longitudinally under the jacket to facilitate stripping.
