Also Known As:

Leviton's Fan-Out Consumables Kit contains everything an installer needs to properly terminate Fiber Optic Fan-Out Kits, all in one package. The exclusive kit includes: lint-free wipes, alcohol pads, d'Gel packets, sealant, and talc powder. Contains enough consumables for at least 10 Fan-Out Kits.

About:

Fiber Optic Fanout Kit shall separate 250 micron fibers and route them into color-coded 900 micron buffer tubes, via a protective housing, allowing cable to be easily terminated. Kit shall use •€œHytrel Furcation Tubing•€ and be available in either six or twelve fiber capacity in 24" or 36" lengths.

Common Applications:

• Fiber Optic Splicing: During splicing operations, especially when splicing individual fibers from a multi-fiber ribbon cable to single fibers or when connecting to a fiber distribution panel.

• Data Centers: Where individual fibers are distributed from a main backbone cable to various servers or switches, allowing for a structured cabling system that can handle high bandwidth requirements.

• Telecommunications: For branching out individual fibers from a central cable to connect to different telecommunication lines, facilitating the routing and distribution of multiple signals.

• Networking Infrastructure: In Local Area Networks (LANs) or Wide Area Networks (WANs), where fibers need to be fanned out to connect to different network hardware.

Patch Panels and Distribution Frames: To manage and protect fibers that are terminated at patch panels and distribution frames within structured cabling systems.

Features:

•• Six or twelve fiber capacity
•• Available in lengths of 24" or 36"
•• Tubing colors are blue, orange, green, brown, slate, white, red, black, yellow, violet, rose, and aqua
•• Fiber assembly unit protects fiber transition
•• Separates and routes fibers into the fiber assembly unit•€s buffer tubes, allowing for easy termination

Standards:

•• TIA/EIA Standards:The Telecommunications Industry Association/Electronic Industries Alliance (TIA/EIA) sets standards for fiber optic cabling systems, including performance and testing criteria for fiber optic components.

• IEC Standards: The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has various standards for fiber optics, such as IEC 61754 for fiber optic connector interfaces and IEC 60794 for optical fiber cables.

•• RoHS and REACH:• European directives that restrict certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, and regulate the use, production, and sale of chemical substances.

Specification:

• Materials:
Top Cover and Base: ABS plastic Tubing: "Hytrel Furcation Tubing"
• Temperature:• Operating -10•° C to 65•° C Non-operating -40•° C to 65•° C

Construction:

The construction of a Fiber Optic Fan-Out Consumables Kit typically includes a set of specialized components and materials used for organizing and protecting individual fibers within a larger fiber optic cable when they are separated or "fanned-out" for individual termination or splicing.
