The TCE400B PCI-Express x1 card is designed for VoIP transcoding, supporting 120 G.729a channels or 92 mixed channels of G.729a/G.723.1. This card is ideal for building gateways or large enterprise environments. The TCE400B bundle includes the half-length, low-profile PCI-Express x1 TCE400P base card and the TC400M voice processing module. It features dedicated DSP resources to handle complex codec translations for highly compressed audio, which would otherwise be processed by Asterisk in software.
