The Cable Routing Ring secures slack in Leviton Structured Media™ Centers. The ring provides clean organization and routing of fiber cable, while adhering to proper bend radius.
About:
Cable Routing Ring shall be made of black ABS plastic. It shall mount into all Leviton Structured Media Centers, using two black push pins. Ring shall allow for cable routing and slack storage.
Common Applications:
• Network Racks/Cabinets: They are widely used in network racks to route Ethernet cables from patch panels to network switches or other equipment
• Server Racks: In data centers, cable routing rings help manage the multitude of cables connecting servers to power sources, switches, and other servers.
• AV Equipment Racks:For routing and managing cables behind audio and video equipment, ensuring that connections to amplifiers, mixers, and other components are neat and well-organized.
• Telecommunication Panels: They are used in telecom distribution areas to route and support telephone cables as they are distributed from the main panel to various endpoints.
• Wall-Mounted Racks:In smaller installations, such as wall-mounted network setups in small businesses or homes, these rings can help manage patch cables and power cords.
Features:
• Push Pin Attachment: The push pins allow for easy and tool-free installation. They typically snap into pre-drilled holes in standard equipment racks or enclosures.
• Material: Often made from durable plastic or metal to support the weight of the cables and withstand the rigors of a rack environment.
• Shape and Size: The rings come in various sizes and shapes (circular, D-ring, triangular, etc.) to accommodate different amounts and types of cables.
• Open Design:They generally have an open or partially open design to allow cables to be easily added or removed from the ring, facilitating maintenance and changes to the cable layout.
• Versatility: They can be used in various orientations to direct cables in the desired direction (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally).
Standards:
• EIA/TIA Standards: The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) have established standards that define the best practices for telecommunications cabling systems (e.g., TIA/EIA-568 for structured cabling).
• UL Listings - The Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listing can apply to cable management systems to ensure they meet safety requirements.
• ISO Standards - International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards may apply to the manufacturing quality and materials used in cable routing systems.
Specification:
• Materials : ABS plastic
• Color: Black
Construction:
Push pins are usually made of a durable plastic or metal. They are designed to fit securely into pre-drilled holes in a server rack or enclosure. The push pins often have a ratcheting or snap-lock mechanism that, once inserted into the mounting holes, expands to lock the ring in place.
