Heat-shrink splice kits provide a watertight and corrosion-resistant seal around conductors, with or without mechanical connectors, safeguarding both in-line and pigtail connections. Installation requires a heat gun or open-flame heating tool, making them unsuitable for enclosed or flammable environments.
