Corning Cable Systems Workstation Multimedia Outlet (WMO) offers flexibility and capacity, accommodating both fiber optic adapters and copper jacks, which allow voice, video and data in one outlet. This diversity, combined with aesthetic appeal, makes it ideal for offices, schools and hospitals and set it apart from other solutions in the industry. The WMO blends easily with any fixed-wall office environment and can be surface mounted on a single-gang (2 x 4 in) or a dual- gang (4 x 4 in) electrical outlet. To allow for diversity in installation and cable routing, surface raceway (.5 in and .75 in or 1.0 in) can be inserted into the top of the unit. Strain-relief is provided for incoming copper and fiber cables. The exclusive design accepts colored icons for labeling, which make line identification quick and easy. The colored icons also make it easier to identify the connection from the outlet to the closet. For added security, a hidden security screw is located under the “slide-in” identification label. The WMO has a flammability rating of UL 94 V-0 and an oxygen index of 35 per ASTM D 2863.
