19 AWG 7T Stranded Tinned Copper Shield Foil Braid Halogen-Free GAALSHIP BFOU(c) Offshore Cable
Allowable Ampacity for 19 AWG 7T Stranded Tinned Copper Shield Foil Braid Halogen-Free GAALSHIP BFOU(c) Offshore Cable: 100 Amps
About:
This cable is designed for use in harsh marine environments where exposure to oil, chemicals, and extreme temperatures is common. The tinned copper and double shielding provide excellent conductivity and protection against electromagnetic interference.
Also Known As:
It may be referred to as marine-grade, halogen-free, fire-resistant offshore cable.
Application:
• Offshore oil and gas rigs: Used in the electrical systems where fire resistance and reduced smoke and toxic fume emissions are critical.
• Marine vessels: Ideal for ships and other marine applications where space is limited and resistance to harsh conditions is necessary.
• Shipbuilding: Used in the construction of ships and submarines, especially in areas requiring stringent fire safety measures.
Standards:
• BFOU(c): This specifies that the cable meets the fire-resistant standards required for fixed offshore units, focusing on low smoke and zero halogen emissions.
• IEC 60092-359: Part of the international standards for electrical installations in ships, ensuring safety and performance in marine conditions.
• NEK 606: Norwegian standards for the petroleum and natural gas industry, detailing requirements for cables used offshore.
