Allowable Ampacity for 18 AWG 12T Stranded TC Shielded Armour Halogen-Free GAALSHIP TIG FR (BFCU(i) 250V Offshore Cable:100 Amps
About:
The 18 AWG 12T Stranded TC Shielded Armour Halogen-Free GAALSHIP TIG FR (BFCU(i) 250V Offshore Cable is designed for extreme safety in marine and offshore environments. It features a stranded tinned copper conductor, shielded armour for physical and electromagnetic protection, and a halogen-free, fire-resistant jacket to minimize toxic emissions during fires. This cable is ideal for critical and enclosed spaces where environmental and fire safety are paramount.
Also Known As:
• 18 AWG 12T BFCU(i) Safety Cable
• Halogen-Free Fire-Resistant Marine Cable
• Single Core Armoured Offshore Cable
• Shielded Marine Instrumentation Cable
Application:
• Shipboard Electronics: Ideal for wiring that requires robust fire protection and minimal smoke emission.
• Offshore Communication Systems: Used in critical communication infrastructures where signal integrity must be maintained in fire scenarios.
• Safety-Critical Installations: Suitable for use in environments where both fire resistance and chemical inertness are necessary, like offshore drilling platforms.
Standards:
• IEC 60092-360: Specifies that the materials used are halogen-free, making it suitable for offshore and marine installations.
• IEC 60332-1-2, 60332-3-22: Standards for testing the flame retardant properties and the ability to resist fire propagation.
• IEC 60331: Demonstrates the cable’s ability to maintain operational integrity in high-temperature environments typical of fires.
