Back pressure valves are designed to relieve excess upstream pressure across a variety of process applications. They automatically maintain a desired maximum pressure within a vessel or system by diverting excess pressure to a lower-pressure return line or to the atmosphere. These valves are ideally suited for use as pump bypass control valves, ensuring constant pump discharge pressure. They can function as continuously operating valves or provide intermittent protection against overpressure conditions.
