About:

IB Series inverted bucket steam traps are designed for drip applications to effectively remove condensate from steam mains and supply lines. With the discharge orifice positioned at the top of the trap body, these traps are less vulnerable to failure caused by dirt and debris compared to other trap types. However, due to their limited air-handling capability, they are best suited for certain process applications—such as unit heaters and laundry equipment—where quick air discharge during system start-up is not essential. For applications that require rapid air removal, Float and Thermostatic (F&T) traps are the preferred option.
