Description

The PVC Coloro ball valve, Type 355, 1/2" through 2", shall have either solvent socket or NPT threaded pipe connections with double true union ends. The valve shall have a two-piece body, permanently fused around the integral ball and stem. The valve shall have low, uniform torque to complement factory preadjusted performance specifications. Construction prevents user ability to disassemble or adjust. The stem shall indicate valve position if handle is removed. Handles are available in five colors for color-coding capabilities of handling different fluids. Material shall meet or exceed the requirements of12454-B according to the classifications and requirements of ASTM D 1784.Socket end connections are suitable for IPS pipe. Threaded pipe connections shall be in accordance with ASTM D2464 which references ANSI B1.20.1(was B2.1) for tapered pipe threads. The valve, Type 354, shall have PTFE ball seats with EPDM or FPM seals. The valve with solvent cement socket ends shall carry a pressure rating of 232 psi at73°F.
