WIRE NOT SHIPPED ON A SPOOL!!!

Ordered the wire on a Monday and didn't get a shipping status until I emailed 4 days later. I was told I could pay for expedited shipping for more than the cost of the wire. I declined the expedited shipping but it still took another week to get the wire. 2 weeks to get this is unacceptable. Im a buisness and if it takes more than a week to get materials we can lose the job!

I guess I must PO'ed someone there so what do they do, they ship the 500ft of this wire in a coil wrapped in paper! What an udder pain in the a$$ to deal with! Is this company really so cheap you couldn't put this on a spool! The wire arrived looking like it had been run over by a forklift and kicked across a football field! If I could upload pictures here I would! I could not believe they would ship it this way! Just trying to cut the packaging paper without damaging the wire was a 30 minute process! If we didn't need the wire for an emergency job I would have sent it back. The prices are cheaper for a reason, poor customer service, not in any hurry to ship your order, and who in the he'll sends a 500ft coil without a spool! I will be taking my buisness back to WIRE AND CABLE YOUR WAY. Pay a little more and I know it's not much but if you ever have to deal with a 500ft coil of this wire you will be glad to see it on a spool!!!

Applications:

The aluminum 600V URD is designed to serve in the secondary distribution circuits for power. In these secondary circuits, the electrical cable is installed in duct or direct burial applications. Due to its versatility, conductor strength, and insulation integrity, it works well for these outdoor applications. It is also used in wet and dry places since the cable has a maximum operating temperature of 90°C. The electrical cable is also designed to provide an option of pre-pulling into ducts.

Construction

Conductors:

Aluminum conductor used for this cable is either a concentric strand or compressed 1350-H19 series aluminum conductor. The conductors are cabled together, with surface printing for identification. The neutral conductor has a yellow stripe.

Insulation:

Versatile insulation system made of cross linked black polyethylene material helps to secure the cable conductors. This insulation is water tight, repulsive to corrosive substances, resistant to oil, heat and flame. Cross linking a polyethylene helps to achieve an excellent strength that makes the material suitable for covering this cable used in harsh conditions like direct burial installation.
