Spools

Great products and fantastic prices! Repeat customer... but this time all of the spools were loose and wobbly making the pulls very hard! I hate to give a lower review! Last 2 orders were 5 star. Maybe a new supplier?

3 THHN THWN-2 Stranded Copper Building Wire

THHN THWN-2 Copper Building Wire Allowable Ampacity in Duct: 110

Applications:

THHN stands for thermoplastic high heat-resistant nylon. Known for versatility and durability, it is the most common type of building cable. The double marking THHN /THWN-2 indicates that the electrical wire is suitable for wet and dry conditions equally (The letter "W" means that it is water-safe). Additionally, the cable is resistant to corrosion, excessive dryness, and the impact of chemicals. The building wire is rated 90 degrees Celsius in both wet and dry locations. The electrical wire is rated at 600 V.

Also Known As:

3 copper wire, 3 building cable, 3 hook up wire, 3 conduit wire, 3 nylon wire, 3 construction cable, 3 thermoplastic-insulated copper wire, 3 THHN-PVC tray cable.

    Construction:

    Conductor:

THHN THWN-2 conductors are constructed of annealed soft copper that follows ASTM B3 and ASTM B8 standards.

    Insulation:

The cable is insulated with a thermoset plastic jacket (PVC) that is flame-retardant, sunlight-resistant, lead-free, strong, and stable. Without being too bulky, it ensures that the cable can be used in harsh conditions. The jacket is color-coded in accordance with ICEA Method 4.

    Standards:

    • ICEA S-73-532
    • UL 1277 (Resistant to flame, moisture, and sunlight)
