About :

1/2" EMT Conduit : Typically made from galvanized steel, providing good corrosion resistance. The 1/2" measurement refers to the nominal internal diameter. The actual outer diameter is usually slightly larger. Generally thinner than RIGID conduit, making it lighter and easier to bend. Requires specific EMT connectors and couplings.

1/2" RIGID Conduit : Often made of galvanized steel, but can also be found in aluminum or stainless steel for specific applications. The 1/2" size is also the nominal internal diameter. Outer diameters and wall thickness are typically greater than EMT. Thicker walls provide higher protection but make it heavier and harder to bend. Uses threaded connections and requires RIGID compatible fittings.
