Alpha Wire Multi Conductor Tinned Copper 150/600V PVC Insulation Ribbon Cable

Alpha Wire is a flat cable which is meant for power controls and communications. This Multi Conductor 150/600V Cable is constructed to perform in both wet and dry locations. It has an operational temperature range of -200C to 1050C.

Conductor:

Alpha Wire Ribbon Cable measures 22 AWG and 100 feet long. This cable is constructed with 15 stranded and tinned copper conductors. Stranding makes the Alpha Wire flexible and thus easy to terminate during installation.
Tinned copper conductors are smooth and will resist friction to offer free stripping. Tinning involves dipping the copper conductors in an electrolyte containing tin metal. Electric current is passed through the electrolyte to coat the surfaces of the copper conductors. Copper is one of the best electrical conductors. It has low resistance to the flowing current.

Insulation:

Multiple copper conductors are each insulated with polyvinyl chloride. The PVC is non-conducting and will create a barrier between the conductors. It prevents direct contacts between the conductors which would cause short circuiting. Polyvinyl Chloride protects the cable from corrosion, abrasion and creeping. It ensures a long service life.
