6 AWG 1C Stranded Tinned Copper Unshielded Halogen-Free GAALSHIP UX 0.6/1 kV Offshore Cable
Allowable Ampacity for 6 AWG 1C Stranded Tinned Copper Unshielded Halogen-Free GAALSHIP UX 0.6/1 kV Offshore Cable: 100 Amps
About:
This cable is engineered for medium voltage power transmission in marine and offshore environments, using a single conductor design rated at 0.6/1 kV. It's ideal for settings that demand high safety standards and resistance to harsh conditions but do not require shielding for electromagnetic interference.
Also Known As:
This type of cable might be referred to as single-conductor marine cable, unshielded offshore power cable, or halogen-free shipboard cable.
Application:
• Offshore oil and gas platforms: For power supply lines where single conductors are sufficient and EMI shielding is not necessary.
• Marine vessels: Utilized for wiring that requires robust, fire-resistant characteristics without the need for EMI protection.
• Shipboard and port installations: Ideal for power and lighting systems in areas with minimal risk of electromagnetic interference.
• Offshore renewable energy installations: Suitable for connections in wind turbines and other renewable energy infrastructure where single-core configurations are used.
Standards:
• GAALSHIP UX: Ensures the cable is unshielded, flame retardant, low smoke, and halogen-free.
• IEC 60092-350: Pertains to electrical installations in ships, ensuring durability and safety in marine environments.
• IEC 60332-1-2: Standard test for vertical flame propagation in single insulated wires or cables, confirming its flame-retardant properties.
Construction:
• Conductor: Stranded tinned copper conductor Cl. 2, acc. to IEC 60228
• Insulation: Halogen-free thermosetting type SHF2, acc. to IEC 60092-359. Thickness acc. to IEC 60092-353 unsheathed, unarmoured
• Colour Cores: black (RAL 9005) acc.to NEK 606 and HD 308 S2 or green-yellow for use as protective earth wire, (with seventh and eighth digit of the part number with “15”)*
