Allowable Ampacity for 14-3C Solid Copper AC Lite Interlocked Galvanized THHN Insulation Aluminum Armored Cable 100 Amps

Armored Cable (AC Cable), also known as BX Electrical Cable, is a flexible conduit alternative to pipe-and-wire installations, manufactured to UL 4 standards. It features a 16 AWG bare aluminum bond wire used with the armor as the grounding path. AC Cable is approved for various applications under NEC Code and is limited to four phase conductors in sizes ranging from 14 AWG to 1 AWG. Unlike other cable types that use polypropylene wraps or direct extrusion over conductors, AC Cable incorporates a paper wrap.

Applications:

Designed for commercial, industrial, and multi-residential branch circuits and feeder wiring, supporting power, lighting, control, and signal circuits. Suitable for exposed or concealed installations, including surface mounting, embedding in plaster finishes on brick or masonry (excluding wet or damp locations), fishing through air voids in masonry block or tile walls, under raised floors, above suspended ceilings, and within other environmental air-handling spaces. Features galvanized aluminum armor for durability.
