About:
The GAALSHIP RU(i) cable is engineered for harsh offshore and marine environments where high reliability is crucial. It features a stranded tinned copper (TC) conductor and an Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulation. The cable includes individual foil shielding to protect against electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for critical communications and control systems. Its halogen-free construction ensures low smoke and low toxicity, crucial in enclosed environments where fire safety is paramount.
• Offshore oil rigs: Used in critical systems where failure could lead to severe operational disruptions. • Marine vessels: Ideal for ships’ control systems where saltwater and harsh conditions are a constant. • Renewable energy installations: Suitable for wind farms and other renewable installations offshore, where durability against environmental challenges is needed. • Underwater equipment: Used in equipment that must perform reliably under water, including subsea control systems.
Standards:
• IEC 60092-350: Specifies construction and testing requirements for offshore shipboard power, control, communication, and instrumentation cables. • IEC 60332-3-22: Related to the flame retardant properties of the cable. • IEC 60754-1/2: Test methods for determining the amount of halogen acid gas evolved during the combustion of polymeric materials taken from cables.
