Allowable Ampacity for 12-2C Solid Copper AC Lite Interlocked Galvanized THHN Insulation Aluminum Armored Cable 100 Amps

Armored Cable (AC Cable), also known as BX Electrical Cable, is a flexible conduit alternative to traditional pipe and wire installations, manufactured to UL 4 standards. It features a 16 AWG bare aluminum bond wire and the armor as the grounding path. AC Cable supports up to four phase conductors, ranging from 14 AWG to 1 AWG, and uses a paper wrap instead of polypropylene or extruded wraps found in other cables. It is suitable for various applications as outlined in NEC Code.

Applications:

Designed for commercial, industrial, and multi-residential applications, this wiring solution is ideal for branch circuits, feeder wiring, and services for power, lighting, control, and signal circuits. It can be installed exposed or concealed, surface-mounted, embedded in plaster on brick or masonry (excluding wet or damp locations), fished through air voids in masonry block or tile walls, under raised floors, above suspended ceilings, and in environmental air-handling spaces. The wiring features galvanized aluminum armor for durability and protection.
