2-2-4-6 Aluminum Mobile Home Feeder Cable is a 100-amp, 600V-rated service entrance cable designed to carry power from a utility meter base to the main panel in a mobile or manufactured home. It’s also used as a feeder to subpanels in modular buildings, small homes, sheds, garages, and other outbuildings.

Approved for direct burial when marked USE-2, this cable can also be installed in conduit, ducts, or raceways in wet or dry locations. Its cross-linked polyethylene insulation makes it durable and resistant to moisture, abrasion, and chemicals—ideal for underground and outdoor use.

In size 2-2-4-6, the cable is commonly used to deliver 100 amps of power to secondary panels where full-capacity circuits are needed for lighting, outlets, appliances, or HVAC systems.

Construction

Conductors:

The 2-2-4-6 cable includes two 2 AWG phase conductors, one 4 AWG neutral, and one 6 AWG ground. All are compact stranded 8000 series aluminum per ASTM B-800/B-801.

Insulation:

It has cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) insulation. The conductors are normally cabled together with XLP insulated aluminum ground or bare copper ground and covered with reinforced binder tape. XLP insulation is tough and resistant to impact, abrasion, chemicals, acids, oils, industrial solvents, and changes in weather.
