Shipboard Cable TXIU Multi-Conductor XLP Unshielded Non-Watertight
Applications:
Type XI electrical cables are designed for non-watertight applications at navy commercial marine ships outside of the United States. The electrical cables are typically used on workboats, tugs, fishing boats, casino boats, and other commercial vessels. Moreover, these cables are suitable for oil rig applications. Other possible applications include lighting, communication, and control systems. The cable is suitable to be installed in trays, troughs, channels, conduit, and wireways. XI cables pass the IEEE-383 and IEEE Standard 1202 flammability tests. The cable is rated 600 volts and has no shielding.

Construction:
Conductor:
A stranded bare soft copper conductor with high conductivity. The cables have a class B stranding. Conductors are cabled consecutively with filler. The cables come in black, white, and red varieties.
Insulation:
XLPE insulation is resistant to moisture, flame, heat, and mechanical impact.
Jacket:
A thermoplastic PVC jacket, according to A11. It is resistant to mechanical and chemical impact.
Armor:
Aluminum or bronze basket weave armor is optional.
