Product Information

Specification

Also Known As :

These limit switches come in a sealed enclosure, ensuring that oil and other contaminants don't enter the switch's internals. The switches may have various actuators like rollers, plungers, or levers. The choice depends on the specific application and how the switch will be triggered.

About :

Safety Switch. Interchangeable with most other brands of switches. 4 position field adjustable indexing actuator head. Reliable and accurate sensing. Furnished standard with 13.5mm to 1/2" NPT adaptor for conduit

Common Applications: :

• Non-metallic materials act as natural insulators, providing an extra layer of electrical safety. This can be especially beneficial in environments where accidental contact with electrical components is a concern.
• Non-metallic switches are often lighter than their metal counterparts, which can simplify installation and reduce structural load in some applications
• In environments where there's a risk of flammable gases or dust, non-metallic switches reduce the risk of sparks that could ignite these materials.

Standards:

• A "de-energized solenoid release" refers to a mechanism where a solenoid releases its mechanical engagement when it is not powered (or de-energized). Solenoids are electromagnetic devices that can push or pull a mechanical load when they are powered. Their operation relies on the principle that when an electric current flows through a coil of wire, it generates a magnetic field.
• A non-metallic safety switch typically refers to a switch with an enclosure made from non-metallic materials. These switches are often used in environments where corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, or avoidance of sparks is crucial.

Construction :

• The switches may have various actuators like rollers, plungers, or levers. The choice depends on the specific application and how the switch will be triggered.
• Depending on where they need to be placed, these switches might offer different mounting options, such as side mounting, flange mounting, etc.
• The switches might be available in different configurations like SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw), DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw), etc., depending on the application requirements.

Features :

• Normally Open (NO) refers to a contact that is open (or disconnected) in its default state, meaning no current can flow through it. When the switch or relay is actuated, the NO contact closes, allowing current to pass.
• Normally Closed (NC) refers to a contact that is closed (or connected) in its default state, allowing current to flow. When the switch or relay is actuated, the NC contact opens, interrupting the current flow.
• When the solenoid is powered (energized), it engages a mechanical component by either pulling it towards the solenoid or pushing it away.
• When power is removed (de-energized), the solenoid releases the mechanical component. This release might be assisted by a spring or some other force to ensure the component returns to its original position.
• Control circuits in industrial machinery.
• Safety interlocks, where activating a safety mechanism might shut down a machine (using the NC contact) and activate an alarm (using the NO contact).
