N2XS(F)2Y cables are medium voltage power cables used in a variety of industrial, utility, and infrastructure applications. They are designed to handle higher voltage levels, typically ranging from 6 kV to 30 kV.

Also Known As:

Sometimes referred to as "XLPE insulated power cables" due to their cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation.

Application:

• Medium voltage cable XLPE insulated with copper conductor, longitudinally waterproof screen and PE outer sheath. Halogen-free according to EN 60754-1/2.
• For fixed installation in the ground, in water, outdoors, indoors and in cable ducts for power stations, industrial applications and distribution networks. The high mechanical durability of the PE sheath ensures a strong mechanical stress possible during installation or use. This cable is also suitable for adverse operating conditions, especially where it is necessary to avoid water after longitudinal mechanical damage.

• They typically comply with international standards like IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), VDE (German standard), and possibly others depending on the region of use.
