The JE-Y(St)Y Solid Bare Copper Shielded Al Foil Tinned Drain PVC 300V electronic cable is a type of static-screened installation cable designed for industrial electronics applications. It has a solid bare copper conductor with a static screen made of aluminum-laminated plastic foil, a tinned copper drain wire, and an outer sheath made of PVC​

These cables are primarily used in industrial control systems, measurement, control, signaling, and data applications. They are suitable for fixed installations on and under plaster in dry and damp rooms. They are often used in industrial electronics, where they contribute to reducing electromagnetic interference.

The JE-Y(St)Y cable meets several standards, including DIN VDE 0815. The flame-retardant feature complies with IEC 60332-1-2, while intrinsically safe circuits are covered by IEC 60079-14:2013 / EN 60079-14:2014 / VDE 0165-1:2014​

Construction:

• Conductor: Solid red copper conductor Cl. 1, acc. to IEC 60228 
• Insulation: Special PVC type YI3, acc. to DIN VDE 0207 part.4
• Colour cores: DIN VDE 0815 (with ring colours and ring groups)
• Stranding: 2 core twisted in pair, 4 pairs to a unit and several units stranded in layers (for 2 pairs cable, 4 cores stranded to a quad)
• Wrapping: Plastic tape
• Screen: Electrostatic screen of plastic and aluminium tape + tinned drain-wire
• Outer Sheath: Grey (RAL 7032) or blue (RAL 5015), special PVC type YM1
