Specification
20 AWG 12 Pair Type JX Overall Shield Solid Thermocouple Wire
Applications:
JX Overall Shield Wire is an extension cable that is meant for extremely high-temperature performances. This thermocouple electrical wire is made of sturdy insulation and shielding materials to withstand the punishing high-temperature conditions, which it is designed for. It has an operational temperature rating at 105 degrees Celsius and a voltage rating at 300 volts. The electrical cable is also color-coded for easy identification. Type JX Wire offers mounting to multiples of instrumentation sensors.
Also Known As:
Type JX Single Pair Shielded PVC Thermocouple Cable, Solid Type JX Thermocouple Extension Wire, Type JX Thermocouple Wire, JX Overall Shield Wire, Type JX, Type JX Extension Grade Wire, JX Thermocouple Grade Cable
Standards:
The cable is tested and approved to meet all the necessary International Laboratory requirements of NEC and UL. JX Thermocouple Wire is in line with UL 13, and the flame test IEEE 1202.
Construction:
Conductor:
The solid stranded copper conductor has good thermal and electrical conductivity and performs well in high temperatures.
Insulation:
Two copper conductors have an individual PVC insulation with an average thickness of 15 mils. Thick insulation explains why the cable is capable of performing in higher temperatures of 1050C without tearing. Polyvinyl Chloride offers a superb chemical and mechanical protection to the cable. It eliminates any contacts between the grounding wire and the live conductors, which would cause power blows and faults.
Jacket:
An aluminum foil shield wraps the conductors and the grounding wire together to prevent overlapping, for maximum performance. The flame retardant PVC jacketing, which is color-coded in accordance with INSA/ANSI MC96.1, ensures safety from deformations.
