2 TYPE UL MV105 SHIELDED EPR INSULATION CPE JACKET 133% INSULATION COPPER POWER CABLE 15kV

Applications:

The mv105 copper cable is an electrical wire used for power circuits up to 15,000 Volts when fixed in open air, conduit, or duct; in applications such as chemical plants, refineries, steel mills, industrial plants, commercial buildings, utility substations, and generating stations. The National Electric Code accepts this electrical cable for uses within 105°C for continuous operation, 140°C for emergency overload conditions, and 250°C for short circuit conditions.

Also Known As:

2 awg medium voltage power cables, 2 mv power cable, 2 mv105 cable, 2 mv105, 2 erp power cable, 2 awg mv power cable, 2 awg mv105 cable, 2 awg mv105, 2 awg erp power cable.

Standards:

  • ICEA S-93-639
  • NEMA WC74
  • AEIC CS8
  • Federal Specification J-C-30B

Construction

Conductors:

The MV power cable conductor is made of copper and has a conductor shield with soft bare annealed copper per ASTM B-3, Class B stranding per ASTM B-8 (compressed), or ASTM B-496 (compact).

Insulation:

A strong and enduring ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) is used as the insulation system. The good thing about this insulation is how friendly it is to human hands since it is a rubber, a material that tends to be soft but guarantees profound and reliable safety wires. This insulation is also environmentally friendly, it doesn’t contain any toxins which can cause harm to human, animals, and plants health.

Shield:

Shielded wires of six rigid copper longitudinally embedded in an exterior semi-conducting CPE jacket per ICEA S-97-682.

Jacket:

The jacket of this ERP power cable is made of Thermoset Chlorinated Polyethylene (TS CPE).
