Also Known As :
King Electric Heaters, Heating Cable, King Heating Cable, Pipe Freeze Protection, King Pipe Freeze Protection, Model SR, Self-regulating Pipe Trace
About :
SR Series Self-Regulating Pipe Trace Freeze Protection Heating Cable is designed for a variety of pipe freeze protection applications.
Common Applications :
• Pipe Freeze Protection : They are used to keep water pipes from freezing in cold weather, preventing costly damage and water supply interruptions.
• Roof and Gutter De-icing : These cables can be installed on roofs and in gutters to melt snow and ice, preventing ice dams and potential roof damage.
• Floor Heating : In some cases, these heating cables are embedded in floors to provide radiant heating, especially in bathrooms or kitchens.
Standards :
• Input Volts : 120V
• Length : 100 FT
• Watts : 10
Construction :
• Concrete Curing : Heating cables like the King SR1210-100 can be embedded in newly poured concrete to accelerate the curing process. This is especially useful in cold weather conditions where low temperatures can slow down the curing of concrete. The cable provides controlled heat to ensure proper curing and prevent cracking.
• Frost Prevention : In construction projects where pipes or other critical components are exposed to the elements, heating cables can be used to prevent freezing. For example, they can be wrapped around water supply pipes or drainage pipes to keep them from freezing and bursting during cold weather.
• Snow and Ice Melting : Heating cables are often used in construction for snow and ice melting applications. They can be installed under driveways, sidewalks, or ramps to prevent the accumulation of snow and ice, ensuring safe access to a construction site.
• Temporary Heat : In construction sites where temporary heating is required, heating cables can be used to provide warmth to specific areas, such as curing concrete or maintaining a working temperature in temporary structures or enclosures.
• Temperature Control : These cables can also be used to maintain a specific temperature in construction materials or equipment, ensuring optimal working conditions.
