Applications:
PVC jacketed MC cable, or aluminum metal clad cable, is an electrical wire used under high ambient temperature in power distribution, particularly in feeder, branch, and service ones, in diverse purpose buildings. The PVC MC cable is also used for diverse circuits, such as control, signal, power, and lighting ones, as well as the electrical cable is used for installations, air-handling spaces, places of assembly, aerial applications, cable tray and raceways, IT equipment, and hazardous locations.

Construction
Conductors:
PVC jacketed MC cable conductor is an 8000 series aluminum conductor. These conductors are also light, soft, and flexible, hence easy to work with, especially during installation.
Insulation:
The jacketed metal clad cable has a color-coded cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) insulation, which improves the service life of the cable. XLP is resistant to abrasion, heat, corrosive chemicals, moisture, and sunlight, making the cable withstand the punishing outdoor conditions. Due to color coding, it is easily identifiable and non-conducting, which keeps the user safe from shocks.
Jacket:
The jacket is an overall black polyvinyl chloride PVC jacket, which is heat, moisture, and sunlight resistant.
Armor:
The armor of the PVC jacketed MC cable is an overall aluminum interlocked armor.
