Description:

Tube lights, or fluorescent tubes, are long, cylindrical light sources that emit light from low-pressure mercury vapor gas and phosphor coatings. When electricity passes through the gas, it excites the mercury vapor, producing ultraviolet light. This ultraviolet light causes the phosphor coating inside the tube to glow, emitting visible light.
