Applications:
Type TPS electrical cables are designed for navy commercial marine ships outside of the United States. The electrical cables are typically used on workboats, tugs, fishing boats, casino boats, and other commercial vessels. Moreover, these cables are suitable for oil rig applications. Other possible applications include lighting, communication, and control systems. The cable is suitable to be installed in trays, troughs, channels, conduit, and wireways. TPS cables pass the IEEE-383 and IEEE Standard 1202 flammability test. The cable is rated 300 volts. The operating temperature should not exceed 90 C.

Construction:
Conductor:
A bare soft stranded copper conductor with high conductivity. The conductors are twisted together into a pair with help from a stranded tinned drain wire. The pairs are connected with fillers and a binder tape, which enhance the cable's resistance to moisture. The conductors are color-coded in black and white.
Insulation:
PVC is a thermoplastic insulation with good heat resistance properties. The insulation is resistant to abrasion, chemicals, oils, sunlight, and acids.
Jacket:
PVC is a durable jacket resistant to abrasion, chemicals, oils, sunlight, and acids.
Shield:
The electrical cable is shielded with a foil tape made either of polyester or aluminum.
