Applications:

The fire alarm cable is an electrical wire that is suitable for all types of fire alarm uses, aside from installations in environmental air. The operating temperature range of this electrical cable is from -20°C to 60°C. Suggested voltage rating for this wire is 300V.

Construction

Conductors:

This fire alarm cable conductor is made of fully annealed solid bare copper (per ASTM B3). Copper is used for this application because of its amazing electrical properties and flexibility.

Insulation:

The fire alarm wire has polypropylene insulation. It is durable and resistant to chemicals and UV light deformations, but it has poor flexibility.

Jacket:

The smoke alarm wiring has a PVC jacket. It is resistant to extreme temperatures, chemicals and UV light deformations. It is also water-tight and easy to cut.

Shield:

This electrical wire has an overall shielding that is made of aluminum/mylar foil.
