Schedule 40 PVC Pipe – Male Adapter (Slip x MIPT) is a pressure-rated plumbing fitting designed to transition between solvent-welded PVC pipe and threaded connections.

It features a slip socket end that connects to Schedule 40 PVC pipe using PVC primer and solvent cement, and a male iron pipe thread (MIPT) end that screws into any compatible female threaded fitting. This combination makes it ideal for systems where a glued PVC line needs to connect to a removable or threaded component.

This adapter is commonly used in water supply lines, irrigation systems, pools, and general plumbing applications, especially where a secure but serviceable connection is required. The threaded end allows easy disassembly for maintenance, while the slip end ensures a permanent leak-resistant bond when properly cemented.

Features :

• Schedule 40 PVC pipe male adapters are used to connect two components with different end types.

• A male adapter has male (MIPT) threads on one side and a slip socket on the opposite side.

• They are used to transition from a solvent-welded (cemented) connection to a female threaded connection.

• All Schedule 40 fittings are NSF 14 & 61 certified, meaning they are approved for potable (drinking) water use.

• Maximum operating temperature is 140°F.
