Also Known As :
It is a type of network cabling that is used in buildings where air circulation for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC) is provided through the space above the ceiling or below the floor that is used for air return flow.
About :
UTP cables are commonly used in commercial buildings, especially in areas where the building code requires their use due to their enhanced safety characteristics. They typically cost more than non-plenum-rated cables due to the materials used in their construction.

Construction
23 AWG bare copper wire insulated with thermoplastic. This indicates that the cable is designed for external installations rather than indoor use. OSP cables are constructed to withstand environmental factors such as temperature changes, moisture, UV exposure, and mechanical impacts. Two insulated conductors twisted together to form a pair and four such pairs cabled to form the basic unit, jacketed with flame-retardant PVC.
