About:
The GAALSHIP BU(c) cable features stranded tinned copper conductors which are known for their superior corrosion resistance and conductivity. The shielding involves a foil layer, typically made from aluminum, which helps in preventing electromagnetic interference. The cable is insulated and jacketed with halogen-free materials, making it safer in the event of a fire as it emits low smoke and no toxic gases.
• Marine Equipment: Used in ships and offshore platforms for instrumentation, communication, and control systems. • Harsh Environments: Ideal for applications where exposure to sea water, oils, and chemicals is common. • Safety-Critical Systems: Employed in fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other safety equipment due to its low smoke and non-toxic properties during a fire.
Standards:
• IEC 60092-350: Specifies construction and testing requirements for offshore shipboard power and telecommunication cables. • NEK 606: Norwegian standards for offshore drilling and ship equipment regarding halogen-free or low smoke cables. • IEEE 45: An American standard for the installation of electrical systems on ships.
