Thermodynamic steam traps are commonly used as drip traps on steam mains and steam supply lines. While they are also employed in steam tracing applications, thermostatic traps are generally recommended for that service. Each trap is supplied with an integral strainer and an optional blowdown valve to protect against contamination and ensure reliable performance.
