Both the DS1102i and DS1102i-CHI models are capable of identifying breakage in various glass types, including plate, tempered, laminated, and wired glass. These square-shaped detectors can be mounted on ceilings or walls and feature a built-in environmental test function that alerts installers to potential false alarm risks in harsh conditions. The audio signals are carefully analyzed by the SAT system, which requires specific frequency, signature, and timing patterns to trigger an alarm
