This cable type is designed for signal transmission in control, instrumentation, and communication systems. It provides reliable connectivity while ensuring protection against external interferences and environmental factors.

Application:
Instrumentation cables are used in data processing and process control and are suitable for fixed installations in damp locations, in open locations, in open spaces and for underground laying.
Standards:
• IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards for cable construction and performance.
• EN (European Standards) ensuring compliance with European safety and quality benchmarks.
• VDE (Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies) standards, particularly relevant in German-speaking countries.
Construction:
• Conductor: Stranded red copper conductor Cl. 2, acc. to IEC 60228, DIN VDE 0295
• Insulation: PE type 2YI1
• Colour cores: White-black, with black progressively numbered
• Stranding: Conductors twisted in pairs
• Screen: electrostatic screen of plastic and aluminium tape + tinned drain-wire
• Outer Sheath: Blue (RAL 5015) or black (RAL 9005) PVC type TM1, outer sheath reinforced

• Reinforced outer sheath
• The electrostatic screen protect the screened pairs against outer electrostatic interference fields
• Low level of fine attenuation and low mutual capacitance enable long transmission distances and fast pulse acceleration
• Conductor Resistance: 0,5 mm2: max. 39,0 Ohm/km, 0,75 mm2: max. 24,6 Ohm/km, 1,3 mm2: max. 14,2 Ohm/km
• Insulation Resistance: min. 5 GOhm x km
• Mutual Capacitance: at 800 Hz core/core 0,5 mm2: max. 60 nf/km for 1 and 2 pairs: 75 nF/km core/core 0,75 mm2: 65 nF/km for 1 and 2 pairs: 110 nF/km core/core 1,3 mm2: 75 nF/km for 1 and 2 pairs: 100 nF/km
• Cross-talk attenuation: max. 0,75 mH/km
