The Viking PRX-2 combines a 125KHz proximity reader and a capacitive keypad into a single unit, designed for mounting on standard single-gang wall boxes It transmits data in 26-Bit Wiegand format, ensuring compatibility with Viking's Wiegand-equipped entry controllers, and features a non-mechanical keypad with blue LED backlighting, raised keys, and a tactile pip on the 5-key for ease of use The device supports non-contact read ranges up to 6 inches, operates on 5 to 14 VDC, and includes horizontal and vertical mounting slots for easy installation, along with Black and Ash covers to conceal hardware.

Equipped with Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP), the PRX-2 is ideal for outdoor use, enduring exposure to precipitation and condensation.
