Also Known As:
The Mini-Com UTP RJ45 Cat 6 TG Jack Module is also known as a Category 6 (Cat 6) keystone jack module. This product is used in networking and telecommunications infrastructure to terminate Ethernet cables and create connections in various network outlets, patch panels, or wall plates. It's designed to support Gigabit Ethernet and other high-speed data transmission over twisted pair cables.
About:
The Mini-Com Cat 6 UTP RJ45 TG Jack Module is designed to terminate 4-pair, 22-26 AWG twisted pair cable. Each module is 100% factory tested to exceed industry standard performance requirements. TG style termination eliminates the need for a termination tool. Each jack is individually serialized for traceability and is compatible with Mini-Com Modular Patch Panels and Faceplates.
Common Applications:
• Ethernet Network Connections: It is used to create high-speed Ethernet connections in offices, data centers, and homes.
• Data Centers: These modules are often used in data centers to maintain high data transmission rates.
• Telecommunications: They are used in telecommunications infrastructure to support voice and data services.
• Office and Home Networking: They can be installed in wall plates or outlets to facilitate wired network connections in homes and offices.
• Network Patch Panels: They are used in network patch panels to organize and manage network connections.
• Structured Cabling Systems: These modules are a part of structured cabling systems to ensure efficient data transmission in commercial buildings.
Features:
• 100% performance tested - Confidence that each jack module will deliver the critical electrical performance requirements
• Utilizes enhanced Giga-TX™ Technology - Optimizes performance by eliminating conductor untwist and reduces installation time and expense
• Modular - UTP jack modules snap in and out of all Mini-Com Faceplates, Modular Patch Panels and Surface Mount Boxes for easy moves, adds, and changes
• Individually serialized - Marked with quality control number for future traceability
• RJ45 interface - Industry standard interface provides a quick and easy plug and play connection to RJ45 patch cords; backwards compatible
• Identification - Can be clearly identified with optional labels and icons for port identification
• Angle termination version available - Angled wire caps allow cable to be terminated at an angle (up, down, left or right) to the jack module; ideal for installations that have minimal depth that may not allow standard bend radius practices to be accommodated
• Termination tools (optional) - EGJT-1 termination tool ensures conductors are fully terminated by utilizing a smooth forward motion without impact on critical internal components for maximum reliability; TGJT termination tool ideal for high volume installations
• Block out device (optional) - Provides a simple and secure method to control access to data ports while not in use
• Shuttered version (optional) - Integrated spring shuttered door keeps out dust and debris of unmated RJ45 jack modules automatically
Standards Met:
Exceeds Channel Requirements of ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 Category 6A and ISO 11801 Class EA Standards for Supporting 10GBASE-T Transmission Over Twisted Pair Cabling Systems in a 4-Connector Configuration up to 100 meters at Swept Frequencies 1 to 500 MHz, Exceeds Component Requirements of ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 Category 6Aand ISO 11801 Class EA Standards at Swept frequencies 1 to 500 MHz, Meets ANSI/TIA-1096-A, Meets IEC 60603-7 and IEC 60512-99-001, Rated for 2500 Cycles with IEEE 802.3af / 802.3at and Proposed 802.3bt Type 3 and Type 4, UL 1863 and UL 2043, RoHS Compliant.
Construction:
• RJ45 Connector: It features an RJ45 interface for connecting Ethernet cables.
• Cat 6 Compatibility: It is designed to support Cat 6 cabling standards, providing reliable high-speed data transmission.
• Keystone Form Factor: It has a keystone form factor, which allows easy installation into wall plates, patch panels, or enclosures.
• UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair): It uses unshielded twisted pair wiring for cost-effective Ethernet connections.
• Durable Housing: The module typically has a durable housing that helps protect the internal components and ensures long-lasting performance.
