Duct Smoke Detector
Description
This device is designed and manufactured to comply with all local codes, as well as NFPA standards for duct smoke detectors. It features a local test button and output terminals for connecting remote status indicators and test switches. Air sampling is conducted through two tubes that extend into the duct system. A 7.5-inch exhaust tube is included with the duct smoke detector unit. Once the duct width is determined, the appropriate air intake sampling tube must be selected and ordered separately. Sampling tubes are available in three standard lengths—2.5 ft., 5 ft., and 10 ft.—and can be cut to the required size for a precise fit within the duct.
